An Ode to my Dad

An Ode to my Dad

A Poem by MissMidnight88
"

This is just a short Ode I wrote a while ago to my dad, who passed away in 2000. The last four words are what he used to say to me when I spoke to him on the phone

"

I miss you more with every day,

I wish you could come back to stay,

Sometimes I need your help, advice,

Even one hug would be nice,

But there is one thing I see,

You’re never coming back to me,

But all the pain I feel inside,

Will fade away, given time.

The memory of you is not forgotten,

Just had to say, I love you rotten.

very touching and sweet. I liked how you were able to make it rhyme without it sounding like a dr. sues book. Very good writing! i enjoyed it, sad as it was
