Music

A Story by Sariel Hana

A remarkable teacher once told me “music is like wallpaper. It is there all the time, but you don’t always have to keep reminding yourself of its existence. There is no worrying in music.”

Music is healing. It has the power to change your entire mindset. Or even just to take your mind off of a day gone wrong. An entire play list can revive someone after a hard relationship. It can even simply put a smile on a face. One song can remind someone of an entire period in their life, an entire person. Memories.

They’re just strings. It’s just a voice. They’re just chords. Just notes. It’s just a song. No. Collectively, it all comes together. One note can’t stand-alone. It’s magical. It’s mysterious. It’s wonderful.

It’s not all wonderful. It has the power for force someone to eviction. Starving artists. It has the power to make undeserving people successful.

Music an independent soul. A free spirit. It works in peculiar ways.
