Trapped

Trapped

A Poem by Mistaken

The struggle is a never-ending fight

For release from the trap I've created.

It lies within my soul within myself

Never will I be the same.

From time to time I catch a break

But when I think I'm fine it pulls me back under.

I hurt and cry when I'm too weak

To stop this would be stopping the life I know.

Easily followed, but hell to end

Addiction and obsession break me yet again.

I can't stop no matter how much I crave

The never-ending struggle rules my mind.

People care when they actually know

Instead of those who say it is bull.

The face I've mastered is a routine

happy to those who are reluctant to see.

Troubled for those who can't seem to realize....

That I'm in a never-ending, life long, frighteningly reliving struggle.

So may get wrapped up in their own world they can't see the pain of others... I can relate too, well done.
