The Flame Effect

The Flame Effect

A Poem by Mister Melancholy
"

Effervescent is the flame that dances to a hearty rhapsody...

"
Effervescent is the flame that dances to a hearty rhapsody, lively and young and aglow
Contrasting from the dank darkness that surrounds yet fears, cowering in the corners of woe

Energy emits and spreads among the entirety of the field, covering each crevice with its magnificent might
A feeling of warmth wraps around the lonely cold, now giving off its very own light

And as this feeling permeates and touches the very heart of black, and as all is lively and filled with mirth
The effervescent flame grows much stronger and bigger, creating a plentiful myriad of fiery births

The fervent offspring feed theirselves to its dear old parent, the very source of their short-lived existence
And now the red-and-orange behemoth is a bright black hole, devouring everything in its proximity without a bout of hesitance

But the melancholy grey skies above save all from further destruction, pouring--pitter-patter--and drowning the monster in clear liquid
And the deadly dragon sizzles out into little speckles of scattered black, staring into its destruction amid

Nothing else lingers in this dark and lonely field, except for the insignificant ashes of the once living and perfect
But that is the way of the cycle of life and the cycle of death: the beauty and bane of the flame effect
