Vertigo

Vertigo

A Poem by Mister Melancholy
"

...and this spiraling madness of vertigo...

"

Velvet darkness wraps me in a cocoon,

Suffocating me with its permanent grip

Everlasting torture, with no escape

The pain continuing to seethe and strip

Returning to the light… no, not

Possible, can’t see through these broken eyes

Though this pain, surging through me,

Taunts me, laughs at my demise

I don’t know--I don’t want to know

What will become of bleeding me

Gradually, the pain is numbing,

Comatose, but at least I know I’m free

Or am I?--that’s what I ask myself,
