Love

Love

A Poem by Mizu No Mita

Love,
Such a fickle word,
With it’s many meanings.
The simplicity,
Of the words,
I love you.
Yet the complexity,
Of the words,
I love you.
So simple and yet so complex,
Every word,
Is nothing,
Without the emotions,
To back them up.
How many meanings,
Can be found in the words?
Many,
But each one is identified,
By the emotion behind them.
For me,
What does it mean,
To hear those simple and complex words?
It means everything,
But only from one person does it mean that.
Only from him,
Joe.
The love of my life,
The man of my dreams,
The one I trust with every fiber of my being and then some.
When he says those,
Three,
Tiny words,
I hear nothing else,
I feel only warmth within,
And like my chest will explode,
From the expansion of my heart.
If those were the only words,
I would ever hear,
For the rest of eternity,
I would never get tired of listening.
