Hermit

Hermit

A Poem by Ana B.

Chasing the long promised

Oasis of wisdom…

Lie is a cogent artist,

Never a cause but always a symptom.

Maybe the nearest infinity

Hides in the lonely breaths we take…

But as long as I don’t know my soul’s nativity

Who cares how many heartaches I  fake?

And while I wait for the dawn

Of the bruised orange sun,

I know love craves winners of this marathon

                                  yet

Dangerous is the person who doesn’t need anyone.

Hermitage is a peaceful state when the chaos of life tries to kill our serenity. The ending lines are very powerful Ana, love is a marathon and if someone chooses to stay alone instead of craving for the world of love, then it can be very difficult... We are made of love and we are made to be in love...

love or not, we're alone when it really matters.Thank you for stopping by :)
"I am a rock, i am an island" - not that messers Simon and Garfunkel had concluded they were in fact not human but were in fact real estate - but rather that someone can view themselves as being so independent as to be lacking in any and all emotion and therefore hurt-proof.
Hermitage is, I feel, the holy grail of the ultra sensitive - the exact opposite of that 'rock' which was sang about.
A powerful poem Ana.
Powerful!

it does soothe the need. Thank you dear Jacob.
Awesomely written :-)
I very much enjoyed reading this, Ana.
Yet dangerous is the person who doesn't need anyone- this is one beautiful and heart throbbing line.

Thank you for the kind words Michael :)
Quite witty! My favorite bit was,
"And while I wait for the dawn
Of the bruised orange sun,
I know love craves winners of this marathon".

Brilliant! I enjoyed your poem. Thanks for sharing.
