Man in the Mirror

Man in the Mirror

A Story by Darryen Richardson
"

Two long time friends, two different personalities. Who would you want to be?

"

“You r-r-really wanna do this Mack…?” said Luey quivering

Mack eerily advances towards Luey very brutish and robotic with scowling eyes that pierce through the very soul “Don’t you be punking out on me.” he hissed.

“I-i-i’m just saying man you got a wife, I got a life; we can figure out another way!”

Angrily, “There is no other way! Nobody steals from me and lives to tell it.”

Luey glances at Mack vigorously digging through the small black duffle bag, wondering if he should try to dissuade the upcoming actions, but before he can express further concern Mack growls “Let’s go, it’s time.”

What do you think of the teaser dialogue? Does it capture your attention enough to want to read more? Can you see the character differentiation? Just a little something I am working on for a possible story.
