ARE YOU ASHAMED WHEN...A Poem by Rose of many coloursLife and DeathAre you
ashamed when your life looks like this? Twenty and
three years of a broken marriage; That is scattered
into unrecognizable bits and pieces. And life
itself with hot flashes and untidy creases: And on center stage the spotlight is on you, And so many
jackhammers with excruciating blow; Condemnation,
condemnation, and whatever follows?
Are you
ashamed when your life looks like this? Beheaded by
the executioners axe, A thousand times without mercy: Or hanging
from the gallows flashed with fancy, Or the colourless blood from busted veins. And the crowd exited for more; Sinner,
sinner, echoed from hell; that stately w***e.
Are you
ashamed when your life looks like this? Crawling
bodies in those hidden parts, Under
braziers and panties with potty hand, And a
mother’s curse from Tableland; And visions
of hope bottled up by evil spells. And strength
was given to the Beast of death, No shame, no
shame, another wrathful threat.
Will you be
ashamed if you knew the untold ones? Will you be
ashamed of me? Why are you
ashamed Oh noble beings? God and His
heavenly hosts glad I am living…. I am not
ashamed so why are you ashamed… © 2013 Rose of many coloursFeatured Review
