A heavy Heart

A heavy Heart

A Story by Moonjean

My heart is heavy; I have traveled through the Nation’s only to find people that I do not recognize; who are they and what are they?

My people, I said to myself, my people are envied because they have kept the traditions of our fathers and haven’t forsaken their path or the Great Spirit.

However, my heart couldn’t believe the condition of their spirits; they have forsaken the old ways; I’m troubled and sickness desires to sift me.

Oh, Great Spirit I’m undone, without words, who can understand these things; I'm lost in a world of dreams, and soon I shall wake with my fathers.
