Why stay in the past when the future is so much brighter?

Why dwell on mistakes when they just make you that much stronger?
And why wait for tomorrow to make a difference when you can start today?

Not bad, but I feel it's a little too short - there's a lot you can do with this concept and it seems somewhat that you've just let the piece end right when it was getting good. Why not expand it further and perhaps answer some of those questions you posed?
