Alone

written to express the feeling of being alone even when the room is crowded. inspired by those lonely dinners, conversations with the person in the mirror, and falling asleep with out a good bye.

Throwing down barriers,

acknowledging that I must go on,

some small

some misunderstood

other still stand.

Those that stand keep me insane.

A shining bright star told me

"Be strong for your heart will keep up,"

as years passed that star got smaller

with it went my belief

                  my patience.

Loosing all that I once had I became lonely.

People came and left

some friends others just faces

very few that I really loved

and in the end those left too

       leaving me with barriers

       leaving me alone.
