A Late Night Poetry Affair

A Late Night Poetry Affair

A Poem by Ms Jessica Renee
"

.....never will I understand.

"

I never really know what I am going to write

Only that I have to do it late at night.

Either in a journal or online

I am always adding a new line

Doing my best to find some rhymes

That will make the words worth your time.

I never fully understand why I stay up so late

Is night time compostion part of my fate?

Is it something I should love or hate

When it is under the stars I contemplate?

I never know when the inspiration will arrive

But it gives my creativity a certain drive

Unique and one of kind is what I try to strive

As something inside me begins to thrive.

I never see how I can sit here in my chair

Having a late night poetry affair.

Bring it on. :)

Fix this line though - "As something inside me beings to thive." - begins and thrive

I like it. May the moon and stars continue to drive your pen across the page. I would, however, like to see how passionate you can be writing without the rhymes once in awhile. Not that there is anything wrong with rhyming (as long as it is not forced or mediocre), just curious as to how far you could reach without them. ;)

I can certainly relate to this piece, every line of it. You write it very well. Sometimes creativity is nocturnal, why I don't know, maybe when the madness of daily life settles down it surfaces and flows uninhibited. Which generally means no sleep. :) Nice write. Gentle critique: your missing an "i" in composition.

Very well writen. The inspiration comes to us in the oddest of times. It is the will of are muse, and thus we except it because, well it makes us fell good when we complete something. I hope you find more inspiration when it comes to you. Focus your night, like I focus my emotions, and pain. Sometimes my sillyness, (Randomation style :)

It is very good. The way you express yourself about why you find ispiration only at night is something we all question. Not the, why YOU do, but why we ALL only find inspiration in a single aspect of reality. I like it.

I felt connected to this. Especially this part:
I never know when the inspiration will arrive

I think every poet has this problem. Inspiration and the will to write can be so sudden.

Silliness and reflection often walk hand in hand. Welcome to the cafe!

What a delightful, fanciful write that you created late at night

This is an absolute marvelous write. Such a pleasure to read

I had such an affair last night myself

Listen to that applause :)

Well done
