Angel's Face

Angel's Face

A Poem by MssJenn
"

A woman loses her mind after giving birth a think her baby is going to be a criminal.

"

“Close the door honey,
I want to cry alone tonight”
The baby on his arms don’t make me smile
It never did

Days
Weeks
Months, now
And I hate his angelical face

Seconds
Minutes
Hours
And I’m frightened of him
Of what he'll become if I let him live

A killer
A demon
A rapist
I can see it on his baby face

Tonight will be the night
With this small knife that I hide
I’ll go to his crib and end his life
I’ll be rewarded by God
For I’ll do his job

I gave life to a demon

And I’m going to take it back

I like the fact that you're bold enough to write about an issue as sensitive as this...that is the essence of being a great writer...letting your voice be heard...abandoning the fears of "what people may think" Alot of writers write with an audience in mind. trying to judge expectations... but all the great writers wrote freely...whatever the f**k they felt like writing and I applaud you for this piece.
Real, and raw is so un-common these days. Good s**t
