Morning Glory

Morning Glory

A Poem by Kelly Scheppers

Asleep in my bed,

you’ll never know the love

and feeling

I have for you

yet,

I haven’t the heart

to awaken you from dreams,

to acknowledge the emotion

in so many words

Perhaps, when you awaken

I’ll tell you…

in the morning.

Looking at your love while they lie sleeping, and you overwhelmed with love for them. Taking in the length of their eye lashes, the fullness of their lips and the curl of their wayward hair. I've been there. Wonderful write Kelly.

Nice to remember. With the passing of years you sometimes forget those very, very special moments.

We're either falling in or out of love...both invite the dance of my muse. Thank you so much, Kara!
Don't wait its never to late to make it count even in the middle of the night it will be all right to tell him that important information that just can't wait till morning light.

I read this poem and I smiled. You know how to get away with words and capture your readers so greatly and make them feel the exact same thing you are feeling whilst writing. Keep going and one day, soon you will author a book.

Your words inspire me, Cassie...thank you!
Somehow, I think it would be very much appreciated to wake up to such validation.
Future favors the bold. :)
Then again, tomorrow's another day, and rested bones find opportunity.

Such validation is difficult to conceal...especially when the eyes meet. Many thanks, David!
very emotive on the surface and between the lines .. stark reminder to me to wake them up and tell them ..before they are missed from our lives .. the pic is very good .. at the center ..the cross ... something we all need to make happen ... many examples in Religion of the sanctity of sex ;) .. the songs of Solomon leap to mind .. wonderful work Ms Kelly!
