Counting Crows and November Snows

Counting Crows and November Snows

A Poem by Kelly Scheppers

Counting Crows and November Snows

There is a void

that punctuates my tears

A parade of years

are all that is left me,

to counting crows

and November snows.

This made me think of a couple that had spent so many years together and have it abruptly ended. It reminded me of my grandfather after my grandmother passed. He lived on for a several years, but was never the same. This is well use of a small amount of words. Nice job.

Oh those long years of tears that amount to the void, no music, no cheers, just there without any dressings. This is sad coloring black!

I know this crayon!

She had you it couldn't been all void.
Beautifully written. Elegant, poignant words that conjure a never ending loop of memories play out, while you stare into the distance. I know that feeling well. Superbly written.

Yes!! as soon as we get some snow :)
A reflective write I felt, on where all the years passed in a parade have gone so quickly leaving one alone to ponder on what was and what is left, maybe in a void of a love lost. A simply beautiful write Kelly.

I can see the seasons speak to many of us for many a reason. Thank you, Andrew!
Wow! Amazing verse. Says so much about the sights and sounds of loneliness and losing someone very special to your heart and how life is so empty without them...The title is great; unforgettable. A pleasure to read your work.

Thank you for making my day, LaShaye. I was hoping the brevity of my words would speak volumes.

A very good poem. Made the reader think and ponder.

With aging. Seasons become more important. We are left to looking at life with experience eyes. Thank you Kelly for sharing the outstanding poetry.

Old age. More crows to count and you are welcome Kelly.
I've known the depth and dark and hopelessness of a void, more than one has drawn me in, but i've crawled out, and found wonderful friends, and new things to discover, but You know this, being one of them,, well written, as always my dear..
