made me smile. i was never a bar type person. in the Marines when I was about 20 went to a bar in cal. called the red onion I think with the guys and that's pretty much how it was. nicely done ... :)

I had two Uncles who were Marines. They wouldn't take my Dad on account of his diabetes. He wanted so desperately to join with his brothers. I can just imagine a group of nicely uniform men walking towards me in a bar...I'd fall off my stool! : )

I was reading your review for Cherrie and noticed you're from San Diego. My mom is down there. Thought I'd read your sunshine and got this first. Interesting how a poem can make a first impression. I smiled. Then started thinking about the pain in the a*s it must be to learn to walk in them. Like an art. I wonder if a time will come when the tall heals are just something you'd see in a fashion museum. A time when comfort and practicality are more important than women on their tip toes so their legs look longer. The museum goers gawk in painful awe that women used to walk around like that. Next to the exhibit of corsets. Right after a glass of.....

There are dresses that just command you to wear a more suitable shoe. Heels for instance are a classic with pencil skirts. Stiletto's on the other hand simply aren't for me, not to say I don't think they're fashionable...well, sort of. In a Kardashian way. Or, like you said, they're an art!

I think wearing heels is just something women condition themselves to. I can wear heels, but I'd never attempt stiletto's! Lol, I truly think I'd get a nose bleed at 5'11". I prefer a more casual attire now, sneakers, jeans and a tank top! So glad you enjoyed my ramblings! Take care!

Ha ha what a fun read...women and lipstick ..can't forget it even after 3rd drink.Same is applicable for the rear view mirror of a car and we are being labelled as poor drivers by the men as according to them we use it only to notice our perfect position of lipstick...what a fun read it was...thank you for sharing it with us

Came for the stiletto only...once I broke one heel of it and I had to carry those by hands:))...so I prefer wedge heels...more comfortable...though sometimes stilettos are a must....love this write
