Indelible

Indelible

A Poem by Kelly Scheppers

Indelible

he is an incessant tune

running  a marathon pace in my mind

weaving an indelible impression

of jazz and culinary skills

of Marlboro Lights and Calvin Klein

he is a litany of paperwork

with a scent of me not easily removed

i am the coercive thought

piquing his photographic mind

weaving an indelible impression

of designer bags and Gucci heels

of Revlon lips and sun kissed skin

with auburn hair cascading down

running a marathon pace in his mind.

I don't think I'm reading this wrong. But I'll say what I feel.

On my second time reading this I liked it even more. I pictured a woman looking at a male celebrity figure that lived a beautifully scented life of music, cooking and fashion, that you felt wasn't bad in the eyes. I pictured him in a magazine. But at times, I pictured him in he room with you, which brought the narrative to the next level. :) I also really liked how you mentioned not only what he was to you, but what you were to him, which brought it to the next, next level. :) :)

That's where my mind went when reading this. Enjoyed the read, very. Tyfs

It's always fascinating to learn how a poem I've written is interpreted. Thank you so much, Cyprian.. read more
This is Vogue in writing poetry. I love its smoothness. Without edges and complete in and of itself.

So thrilled you enjoyed it, Ken! Have a fabulous weekend!
Dear Kelly,

What made this poem truly special for me were the delectable personal details of each lover in their sketch. It was so beautiful to read. Mutual attraction and passion are so powerful, coercive and mindblowing. I could even compare it to dynamite. It will be a marathon blissfully run.

Its a joy to visit your page, dear Kelly. You're most welcome. 🙋‍♀️💕
Beautifully hushed whispers seem to speak over us in every line. You do know how to weave stories that are intimate and vast... eyes gazing... mind creating... worlds exploding and reforming. May this blissful dream of loving always flow through you... and may you always be so gracious as to share it with us all here.

I adore your erotic poetry dear Kelly. It is so alive and so passionate. I tell people, we must excite the mind first and the body will follow. Thank you for sharing the amazing poetry my dear friend.

You are welcome dear Kelly.
exquisite poem. true california hum along. why do i say thus? cause only a cali girl could write of sun-kissed skin when the rest of our continent is buried under grey skies and 6 ft of snow. :))

love the work as always Kelly. Your hold on the sensual is bloody marvellous and unparalled.

Minds don't always have to be great to think alike. When two are in love, songs become more powerful, words magnify, and dreams coincide.

An excellent poem for all that was mentioned below. :)
