Through My Eyes

Thanks to Martina McBride's single "In My Daughter's Eyes" I have written this song for my Ma. <3 ya Ma (:

Since the day of my birth I have been your miracle,

intelligent,
nice,
well-mannered,
overall, perfect.

As a toddler I was the twinkle in your eyes,

always making your heart smile,
giving you hope and strength,
helping you through a life without dad.

Through my eyes you gave me strength.

Being a teenager is simple.

I love to amaze you with things such as this.       
I love to watch you with your one true love,
hoping one day I'll have the same thing.

Through my eyes you gave me wings.

Though someday soon I'll be all grown-up, I want you to recall you,

whispered life into me,
revealed things I had never seen,        
helped me create My Dreams.

Through my eyes you gave me the Breathe of Life.

I think this is very beautiful, a very loving gift/tribute to your mother. Also I like the layout/format of this piece. It gives your poem great visuals which I think is important too.
