Because I Heard

Because I Heard

A Poem by Music's Color
"

A hospitalized girl recollects the incident that turned her life around, and how she felt afterwards...

"

Just as wolves howl in the night,
I heard the screams so filled
With pain and rage and fright.

I closed my eyes,
And waited for my own.
Yet it didn’t come, to my surprise
And my silence left me alone…

So don’t call to me.
Don’t tell me the news.

Just leave me in bitter cold.
Leave me ‘till I’m wrinkled and old.
I already know why their bodies are oh so still.
It won’t give me the slightest chill.

Because I heard.

Music's Color
I wrote this around 2007/2008, so it's not as good as it could be. But I hope you still enjoy it, and I'd very much like to know what you think about it. (Photo will be added later.)

I like the poem. Could feel the lack of hope and desire in the person described in the poem. A strong poem and sad poem. Giving up is a bad thing.
