I don’t need to be a fool,

To prescribe t’you,

This tool.

From it you’ll retune your life,

To a pitch you’ve lacked some while.

 

When in doubts and

Failure beckons.

Strike it once.

Listen for seconds.

 

It’ll guide your life

Through sound.

If once lost,

You’ll twice be found.

 

So take with you

This tuning fork.

When overwhelmed

Just try your luck. 

Follow the path

The music lights.

And float away

From all your plights.

I really enjoyed reading this. The title caught my eye as something unique and something I wanted to read. The idea of a doctor having something of a 'God complex' and prescribing something to literally 'retune' your life and the idea that life can be on different levels of sound is beautiful. Good work :)

the poem in itself is beautiful. what makes it more so is that we dont quite know what to expect and there are many ways of understanding the 'music' some, namely me, may assume that that music wich we should follow is the one deep within our heart. makes u think alot
