Not

Not

A Poem by The Veiled Writer
"

Perhaps it's a bit of perspective, or maybe a snippet of insight? Who knows, I certainly don't. Think not, dwell not!

"
Think not, for they dwell within.
Look not, for they shadow your movements.

A mirror will tell no tale,
a camera cannot capture the truth,
and their gossip: they know nothing!

It is you, it is you.
The reflection not quite true;
the picture, it is skewed
and the story - lost again.

Feel not, for you are conflicted.
Trust not, for the world is deceiving.

The news will be selective,
people cannot be trusted,
and you are still uncertain.

Oh i absolutely love it. Theres something so remarkably mysterious about this poem. The tone has just the right amount of everything. And i couldnt agree more with the message it holds.
Written very well :)
