Emptiness

The emptiness, the darkness, I feel so much pain

The lies, deceit. All around me is utter disdain

My heart hurts so much and I feel loneliness inside

I feel lost, without hope and with no one to confide

The emptiness is taunting me every day and night

It cuts so deep, it feels there is no hope in sight

I don't know why no matter what it just won't go away

This feeling of emptiness burning within me causing decay

The emptiness is much more than a void in my heart

It's been there so long, from the inside it's tearing me apart

I am in great agony and affliction lurks in my dreams

It may  be with me forever within , is how it seems

Deep seeded pain can be the worst for most people depending on the source of it. Great poem. I like the way you've conveyed the deepth of how pain has taken it's emotional toll on a person's spiritual well being. Great write. :)
