i have mixed feelings about this poem. first of all, i love all the metaphors you used in the first 9 lines. they are wonderful. it's the last line that i have a little problem with, and it's move a personal prejudice than a problem with the poem. it sounds like a hallmark card to me. which isn't a bad thing. i've been known to write some greeting card sounding poetry myself. i just kick myself whenever i do. if you don't mind writing greeting card poetry, this is great. if you do mind, i'd change the last line or leave it off completely.
