Lingering Cloud

Lingering Cloud

A Poem by Mjr. Tom

Can you hear the drip, drip, dripping?
It's the rain over my head
This dark cloud follows my every step
Reminding me of my sense of dread

This cloud is a close friend
It has been following me for years
Always there to darken the day
Getting fatter with my tears

Can you hear the crashing
Of the lightning's boom?
It's the dark cloud
Reminding me of my doom

No matter how windy
Or bright the day can become
The cloud never leaves
It's always there with it's ominous hum

I cannot see the sun anymore
The cloud covers my view
What will make the cloud leave?
What can I possibly do?!

Very good, I really like this poem. You can view the meaning behind it, while it still flows well. The creativity and the intrigue, the imagery and the idea are all very well put. Love it, great job.

Very good, as I was reading it I felt like overcome with the emotion because I've been there and felt it. Love it as always.

If it rains on your parade, go dancing in the rain. Haha that, to say the least, was the answer to your question. But honestly, make the most of the rain. I love it, so maybe I am being biased.
Your poem was pretty good. It had rain and a rhyming scheme which I both love.
Great work =]
