Twinkie

It seems I wander around aimlessly searching for you

Because I know there is no other for me.

We had an undeniable connection that demanded to be respected.

You were 8 years older than my father…

When I was younger he warned me to stay away from you, and for me, you would be a bad thing… But I didn’t listen…

There are even those that say they are as sweet as you, with their lies, they claim to be the total package…

Needless to say, it is you I am still seeking

You were bright enough to shine in utter darkness, so light but dense enough to be bathed in the sun…

I remember my childhood connection with you, you were the best thing in the world to me…

I recall sneaking around with you, trying to hide my love for you from those around us. You were almost 50 years my senior, but we connected because you understood me…

1933 you were born for thee…

I’ll forever love you, my golden, creamed filled, Twinkie.

I have been writing as long as I could hold a pencil. I can remember my mom being mad, because if I had a thought and I wanted to write about it or with it, I simply wrote it on my clothes. I am a m.. more..
