Butterfly Waltz

Butterfly Waltz

A Poem by Natasha

The birth of a butterfly
A wingspan of two glances
Eyes as wide as a smile

From one came two
Two flutters to a brush
Four blinks to notice
One union to inspire
A theory
Questions of a swarm
Never-ending dances
Within this charade

Nonchalant grins
Wistful, confused
Breeding designs
Each intricate weave
Tilting closer to truth

A theory
Of past sketches
Now a butterfly waltz
