Misty Morning

MISTY MORNING

Now that the lilac buds are in full bloom

And the dried earth is fertile

The lush greenery is regained 

With birds soaring up high 

The dew diffuses this day 

Even the air feels the joy

Melody rings everywhere

When the birds chirp peeping from the leaves

Peace, in my heart resides

To feel the aroma of the earth and sky

The stems smell heavenly 

Fragrance of flower they bear

The raindrops are elixir 

A blessing in disguise

They touch my skin 

And my soul is rejoiced.

A well described piece....

Rather apt for this reader since my city was cloaked in a blanket of Spring mist just a day ago. It never ceases to amaze me, the mist, with its caressing touch and shortlived presence. Your poem, filled with its lovely descriptions and images recreates the scene of such a misty morning in perfect clarity.
