so this is goodbye

so this is goodbye

A Poem by Nathan HUelsbeck

Play with silence
After spilling it out of a paper cup
On the lap of that w***e you chatted up last winter

Dance around
With swollen wrists
Playing with one more min
Tell everything stops

Explain every muddled metaphor
Every crossed stitched run on sentence
As if
God really gave a dam
As if
You ever mattered in the first place

Talk in
Bloody tongues to
A savior that gave up on you a long time ago
When you were to drunk to even know her name
And not scared enough to ask him for death
Play with silence
No one noticed when you f*****g screamed anyway……..
