THE SILVER SPOON

THE SILVER SPOON

A Poem by Zephyr

It was a hot, hot afternoon
And I ran through the kitchen
In search of a spoon
A silver spoon.

I ran a wild goose chase
Turning the kitchen upside down
And the chase became an eventful phase
Of that burning hot afternoon.

I bumped into my Papa
Marring frowns on his stern face
And I slumped onto my Mama
Staining her frilly lace.

The tiny kitchen seemed big and
I seemed to be searching an entire universe
For a spoon of silver significance
In my relatively insignificant life.

My pleasure dear:)
Seeing you are from India I applaud your courage for I know how hard it is to write in a second language. From your word choices and usage it shows you have mastered the language. The imagery and the message within the last two lines are spectacular, well done my new friend. Standing Ovation! I give it five out of five Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap!
