Are we alone?

Are they out there....?

Are we alone

In a universe so forlorn?

 

If we have company

What will they accompany?

 

A welcome hand in friendship

Or death, malice & hardship?

 

The alien-beliefs of the bygone era

Are fantasies for the modern era.

 

Science has had a head start

But the mystery is still to thwart.

 

Universe meets our gaze

Unwilling to satiate our craze.

 

So, are we alone?

 

All this remains a mystery

Handed down by folds of history.
