Talk between parallels

Talk between parallels

A Poem by supernova_thoughts

I am sure

You felt it too

Myself splitting

In various colors

I was not aware of

The occurrence

By the time

I got hold

I was different

My colors

Spread through the

Starry night

People observing

From far places

Some said that was visible

The changes was inevitable

Some said it was just

Natural

They say

People change

They say

That’s understandable

If that is so

Then why do we

Expect that this is

All in one static

I believe

I create a variant

Believe that

My other selves

Will be busy doing the same

It is not a prior thought

I didn’t teach myself

Or say I have to be different

It was

The urge

That mended and revoked

The one who was

The to-be eventual result

The variant decided

To birth a kind of divergent

Now you’ll ask

Do I think I’m special?

Let me tell you

I utterly don’t

What I actually think

Is something far from

What I have to

And who can I blame for that

The me that was Original

Or the me that creates

Variants.

What creates the variants in life and in ourselves....one has to be quite introspective to even think about this....since it is very thoughtful and complex...perhaps the variants are changes in our life that effect us in one way or another....as though we become another part of ourselves....our experiences...this would make a great discussion... I'm impressed with your thoughts about ourselves and time.

Your poem is a thought-provoking and introspective exploration of the nature of change, and the ways in which we are constantly evolving and transforming throughout our lives. The use of imagery, such as "splitting in various colors" and "spreading through the starry night," creates a sense of both wonder and uncertainty, while the juxtaposition of "natural" and "inevitable" adds a touch of ambiguity and complexity. Your words convey a sense of both vulnerability and strength, and the final lines, "the me that was Original / or the me that creates variants," are both haunting and profound. Your poem is a testament to the power of language to capture the essence of the human experience, and to help us find meaning and purpose in the face of our deepest fears and doubts.

This is quite a deep poem the more you read it and yes I totally agree … a person goes through different stages and changes some for better some for worse and yes we can blame our other variant self if the choices we made lead us to unfortunate circumstances but then again all variants are only human and we do make mistakes… hopefully we can forgive ourselves for them. Yes I agree! :)
I felt you are referring to Covid and its variants. Then again, you might me talking about yourself.
Everyone and everything are in a state of flux. Changes are inevitable.

I was referring to myself. But covid is also a variant. Thank you for stopping by!
