Indeed, in some traditions God is called the Eternal Now. I don't think it shifts, though; our brief attention spans just lose track of it until it pops up again.

my future sideswipes my past ...but often the past is so far in that rear view mirror I can longer see anything except a blip.
But it is hard to subdivide all of the different parts of us...the past , the present and the future.
everything is but a moment away.
