A Precious Drought

A Precious Drought

A Poem by Neville

A Precious Drought

Don’t cry

At least not for me

Let the wind blow

Long, soft and cool

Then pray

the rains do come

And wash those

tears of yours away

Our garden

may well be parched

Yet the wisteria

is weeping amethysts

For both

of us, my love today …

love your closing lines sir! wisteria and amethyst is so glorious and bountiful .. such a gentle weeping for both your young lovers ... i like just the hint of the story that comes before .. both responsible for the parched garden .. both hurting but still respectful of one another ... so it seems to me.
