Nowhere Left to Bleed

Nowhere Left to Bleed

A Poem by Neville

Nowhere Left to Bleed

Yes … you may have seen

me naked ..

And you have seen me

weak

You have seen me

beaten ..

And then turn the other

cheek ..

But now the breaking

wheel is broken

and there

is nowhere left to hide,

or bruise, or bleed ..

At least

that is, the way it seems

to me ..

And tho’ the well is just

as deep,

the bottom and the sides

have long run dry

and the drop is still as

steep ..

But until you realise

I am neither

hypocrite, or liar I shall

remain

both a threat and stranger

in that crazy

fucked up mind of yours

but then again, who cares ..

Has the sound of a farewell, but not a fond one. A lot of rich imagery convey the speaker's feeling of having gone a bridge too far and now being ready to cut loose for good. Sincerely hope time will drain the big cup of gall that is evident here. It's not worth the time.

Sometimes we have to not dwell on the perception of others. It isn’t easy and many times it hurts more than we would like.

I can feel the hurt and the pain in this piece that is litter with strong imagery of falling down a well that’s sides are dry and the bottom is deep.
