Such beautiful words of regret and what could have been. As your note already suggests, you know we will read between the lines and make our own sums add up to five, and wondering what "they" are wondering. I am left thinking wryly, that good guys (& gals) are liked, while we watch them loving the bad from the sidelines.
So much said, and thought, in so few words. I am impressed, as always.

i relate to this in a way...i often got into relationships with people who needed mending...but unfortunately for me...they would mend, then sew somewhere else.

So much provoked by your words!!! In my long healing journey, there are those who want to take care of me, but need me to stay beautifully broken. I've left family members behind becuz they stay stuck & wallowing in brokenness together. I love being attracted to someone's quirks but not in a way that perpetuates brokenness! You are so brilliant in your brevity! (((NUGS))) Fondly, Margie

When you adore someone it is because of who they are... flaws and all . Loving someone means mending all broken things to make it whole.
What a profound notion about love, my friend.

For a woman in love, there is usually no mending the relationship or the man. That she adored another, kind of seals this deal. A woman cannot usually love two men unless she’s a superhuman or a cat 😸 Well, my hunch is that the one she adored must be a loser and a cad! Good for the poet!
This was a beautiful and meaningful write for me Neville.

You are one cool cat.. bless ya Dhara_Ditzy Kat... a much appreciated visit... Neville
Here we go again. There is beauty in flawed and broken, but only people with wisdom can see it. It looks here that the broken person who wanted to be fixed actually had more insight than the fixer. Does that make any sense? Plenty of spaces between the lines to spin some yarn here and make a thick winter woolly out of it :) Neville is in a cryptic mood and I am feeling thick today.
