From a crimson ribbon frayed

To these words of mine with caution

These are not just simple 

Raindrops falling 

These are real tears, truly shed

For broken women everywhere, 

Taken, and then later laid to rest

Hard hitting and sadly on the increase while lockdown was in place. Violence of any sort against women or anyone is a despicable act. The crimson ribbon here is very effective as well as being visual. Universal problem, not just the UK. It happens everywhere.

Poignant reminder that amongst all the confusion and mayhem brought to all since covid darkened our door, that for some, it is nothing more than a prison sentence within a prison sentence, being locked up with your tormentor with nowhere to turn.
Have seen the devastation firsthand, of how for some, life is the fear that we have all barely glimpsed, being made all the more worse by lockdown and how hopeless it can feel, but there is help out there, if they can escape long enough to find it.
A vivid and stark reminder that our not feeling normal is a drop in the ocean compared to the simplest of freedoms that are a basic human right, taken from them, by someone not fit to feel freedom themselves.

I am so glad that you feel about this the same way as I do Lorry ... and like you, I have seen a significant rise in the number of female victims of both physical and emotional abuse since around May of this year ...

Makes you wonder if these guys were born wearing sheeps clothing and just how impotent some people are that they need to feel in charge, despite the warning signs that they should be kept in the cages they deserve to be in.
I'm still amazed that women give us the time of day, despite us being the cause of all that ails them. Thank the big beardy guy in the clouds they make better humans than us.

Indeed, there are many predators out there, from the sex traffickers to the serial rapists to the out and out Jack the Ripper types. Who knows what gives these people such a rage against women?
