What I ask of Memory

What I ask of Memory

A Poem by Camille Corbett
"

I wrote this poem because I wanted a special moment to stay.

"
Let me soak my heart in your scent,
Let the shadows mimic your touch.
Let me comb myself with your carasess
and hope that they won’t shatter.

Let me crawl into your warmth,
Let me ride upon your breaths.
Let me sacrifice thoughts for your name
and hope I won’t  forget.

Blossom into me,
Encroach my every whim,
Consume my worldly flesh
And feed my needy heart.

Love, Love, Hideous, Love,
Bend over and let me drink from you.
