Drawn in the dark

Drawn in the dark

A Poem by Nick.B

They think I'm funny
and have no problems
But this mask is so well structured,
they can't see that I'm so angered
I'm just hiding, just a man trying to survive...
I'm a clown forgotten by the spirits,
Doomed to be alive and lonely, never to have any visits,
Behind this mask I am a loner, walking in the darkness for years,
making people laugh so hard, they forget that I have lost...
Even this city is getting weaker, it's impossible to cross,
They can never see my pain, all is gone,
except for a drawn in the dark...

Some people hide their pain so well that others can not see it, I'm one of those too.
Making people laugh is a gift, like singing, or painting, it's a healing gift, a wonderful gift to have or give...if only we could make ourselves laugh, the world would be alright then :)

Loneliness paints a fractured smile on this deep and unforgiving face. Very cool.

Thank you for your review, I appreciate it
The anguish of one who is taking the burden of life yet putting on a smile...
its heart-wrenching in reality..
very well expressed!

I'm sure some people see and realize a lot more than other people give them credit for.

Sometimes...not always
the shape which your poem takes looks like a tower, a tall closed building which you keep your true form locked inside, (behinde the mask) as your poem says, amazing, i really love this poem, the way it flows, i ca relate to your words, and am sorry you had to go through this, i can feel the pain rushing over the whole write, which is perfectly a beautifully sad write.

Thank you, glad you like it
I find the chaotic straucture of this poem and clumsy choise of words as PERFECT form to express the thruthful absurd of human excitance. People are extremely social creatures however everybody is so lonely - this is a simple paradox of our life...
