Winter Roses

11/15/17

Her vanity has tarnished.
She is unrecognizable.

She sees beauty in all things but not in herself.

Her edges are rough, dull and scarred.

She has thousands of thorns that only allow her to be seen and not touched.

She thrives in the darkness of the winter..

While others are in love and living their life she stays still and cold in this misery she calls home...

Roses don't belong in the winter...

This is an interesting portrait of one who seems trapped by something within herself. It sounds a lot like depression.
