Castle of Sand

Castle of Sand

A Poem by Voice

A castle of sand
I made with my hand,
Stands tall and high,
But I ask myself why
I wasted my precious time
To commit this needless crime
Of building a fragile architecture
A soul-less vulnerable structure

And as sea waves rise again,
I find no way to save my terrain
My masterpiece is robbed by the waves
The sun, winds and sand! No one saves!
For it was perishable, it has been perished!
For it was my crime, I have been punished!
My heart is drenched and injured with pain.
All of my hardwork has gone in vain.

The castle was my creation and creation is love.
My love is gone. I'm a bleeding dove.

I love the concept. It reminds me of something I say to people all the time.
"Rome wasn't built in a day, but it sure as hell can be destroyed in one."

Exactly, you're right. It sure can. It's simply the law of entropy.

Thank you so much.. read more
