Promises Or Lies?

Hmm...remembering stuff isn't always fun.

I woke up this morning, wishing it was a dream
Wishing you would somehow still be there for me
But when I got there, you were gone
So it wasn’t just a dream
It all really happened
And your no longer here
Maybe you were the dream
A dream my friends and I had
A dream of the man I could meet sometime in the future
If that was so
I never wanted to wake up.
I never wanted to face the future
I want you here and now
Not years later
And if what my friends saw was true
Than I’d be fine with that too
It was bound to happen sooner or later
You’d meet a lovely girl who was miles closer
You’d fall in love and leave me behind
But I would still be by your side
As a friend of course
A best friend at that
But for you to just leave like that?
Leave me behind
Love or friend
Hey! I thought you were supposed to be there till the end!
Were the promises, promises or lies?
My dear friend if you are to leave,
You at least owe me that
Promises or Lies?

Thank you! Yeah the same question is always asked when you're betrayed by someone you thought you could trust. Sometimes you get the question answered and are able to resolve it and other times it just ends up unanswered and haunts your head. Anyway, thanks again!

lol the problem is I'm not mad at him and he is my best friend yet he has hurt me so many times so sometimes I feel stupid about being so close with him still lol and your very welcome :)

I got the vision of someone waking up to start their day and as their looking in the mirror, they start having a conversation with themselves and these words are that which comes out as their mind drifts backwards into times past.

I find you have a really strong way of bring clear feeling and image in each line you write. As if someone might plug a monitor into your mind and the scene that's being thought of would come in crystal clear.
