Inside My Head

You told me that it was ok

to write this down, but I'm not so sure.

But now that i've started, I keep

writing more.

What if you hate me after...after you know?

Well I guess I've started

now anyway, so I shouldn't go.

 

I'm not going to say sorry, but...

I need some time to think.

I'm not running away.

At least I dont belive I am, but...

This is useless.

You're not going to

understand.  

 

All I want is for you

to hold me close and say

the truth.

That you would do anything

to make me smile

That this love of ours...that it's worth

my while.

And though we made our love

a pact. 

Its the one thing you wont say...

You may never say it in fact.

 

Because my dear, the reality is...

The truth I hear inside my head

Is something that cannot be said.

For encompassed within

space and time

The truth I wish for...

Is really a lie.
