Last Breath

Last Breath

A Poem by Nikky Miles

If I breathe out my last breath...
Would you catch it and hold it
forever?
Would you keep it safe
till we meet again?
Oh, how I wish I never had to leave.
How I wish you were here,
with me,
from now till infinity.
I hope you have found all the greatest things in life.
I hope you know,
how I felt,
when I had to leave
my last breath.
I did it though, all for you,
I couldn't stand to loose you one day.
I never wanted this state to end...
State of love,
happiness,
such a power no one ever knew.
I held it for the first time,
the second you held my hand.
You told me you love me,
I told you I love you.
Now you've got my heart,
till you drop
my last breath.
