His Choice

His Choice

A Poem by LethalRainbows

Slowly beating
Time has slowed for the moment
Like the sound of glass breaking
Her whole body aches
The tempo quickens
Streams of hot liquid pool around her face
Feeling like her chest cavity’s been cracked open, her heart pours onto the ground
Gasping for breath, she cries out in pain
The life line goes dead
All because of a little heart break
