The Journey

The Journey

A Poem by Nitesh Mahabal

Walk, walk little soldier,
For the destination in no where in sight,
The expectation is high,
Set your eyes for sunrise.

The water in desert,
Tastes so sweet,
Because no one made it there,
And yet you reached.

People are there,
They've always been there,
Like a herd of sheep,
Who did nothing for anyone else.

Plant the seeds of kindness,
Like an empath,
What you leave behind,
Will give others shadow in the path.

Though the morale drowns,
The heart searches for belief,
No one knew the journey,
Without despair and grief.

Go, go on through the night,
With blur vision & numb feets,
For in the darkest night,
Is when fate meets.

Fight until your last breathe,
Tussle with your struggles,
For the brave live the stories,
And rest dismantle

Never giving up when we go through our struggles is what keeps us alive. That's what drives us to continue to finish the race.
