You Forgot

You Forgot

A Poem by Kay

You forgot to wake up,
Your eyes forever closed
To a world colder than Ice.

Your soul forever closed
to your own emotional strains.

You forgot to wake up,
My waiting arms hold
A lifeless body, waiting
Waiting for a tight embrace,
That wont ever, ever come.

You forgot to wake up.
My ears long for your witty sarcasm
That only I could ever understand.
For all your songs at random that somehow,
Your mind and vocal cords would conjure.

You forgot to wake up.
My best friend is gone
I've never known a loneliness so strong.

You cant pick up my calls
where ever you are now because...

You forgot to wake up Dad.
