Easier Said Than Done

Easier Said Than Done

A Poem by Working Class Scarecrow
"

cognitive dissonance about my significance.

"
the price of apathy
the illusion of choice
it's been a while since i was alone with my thoughts

significant indifference
i think i've lost my voice
choking back the dissonance, action's all i've got

sometimes it's hard to shake this feeling
it's easier said than done

we're so used to the quick fixes
that's not how wars are won

i've got a power in my mind
but i can't seem to concentrate
looking through a dirty mirror
but some things still penetrate

I'm conflicted about my role in all of this
then i wonder what all of this is

is it just my ego?
reality's not subjective but i am
