Apathy Brings Atrophy

Apathy Brings Atrophy

A Poem by Working Class Scarecrow

…and if you don’t know where to start
just start here and go from there
there’s nothing wrong
there is something

and i keep forgetting to rehydrate my cells
with what makes up most of me

sunlight through yellow curtain

sweet smoke

clean slate

soft music….. remembering.

to savoir the breath
from time to time.

not forgetting that apathy brings atrophy.
comfort and convenience; complacence.

Let’s just rest here a while.

and perhaps, dream to simplify our future.
