Still Want

Still Want

A Poem by Working Class Scarecrow

how am i supposed to think with all these pop songs and bullets in the air?

      so much in here.

just need to start the release
one line at a time

            okay...

                          clear my throat

        remain silent.

scratch the itch on my right leg.

          think too much...

                    social commentary.  no one's interested.

why am i doing- it doesn't matter.
i am doing it either way.

the things that pass through here...

i can only reach out and catch so many.

a small fraction of the innumerable

                          and
I know there is only one number

but, i still want someone to lay with.

and i restrain myself from having that.

i stop.

            I, I, I....

It's all getting faster by the second.... When I get to this point, I go look at a flower for 15 minutes, or 5 minutes if I have something important to do
